Terrible Tuesdays!!!

I have come to the conclusion that Tuesdays are by far... the WORST day of the week. There are only memories from the weekend before, but yet no hope for a break for another 3 whole days!!! UGH

The most excitement I get throughout the week is my workouts and the occasional cooking frenzy... yippy!!

My workouts this week have intensified, by adding some swiming. I set a goal in April of this year (2012) that by the beginning of fall semester, which was Aug. 22nd, that I wanted to lose 20 pounds!! I managed to reach that goal by July and surpass it by losing 25 by the dead line. I have now decided that another 15 pounds could be managed by the end of the year. Even though I have now stayed at the same weight for some weeks... I have decided to intensify my workouts in hopes to lose the last few pounds before the sinfull holiday season!!

This week’s workouts include (done in the evening after work, 4 times a week)

2 mile run/jog
300 ab crunches
15 min. misc leg workouts (leg press, calve press, lunges, etc.)
15 min. misc arm workouts (weights, curls, etc.)
1 mile cool down speed walk

THEN - durm-roll please... 1/2 mile freestyle/back-stroke swim  and 10 min. treading water

By the time I get back home its 9:30pm and its time to catch up on homework, and read some Fifty Shades of Gray (my newest addiction!!)

I also got some apples from the farm .... so, anyone have any good crisp recipes?!?!?!

  1. Ok, so I have to agree with you, Rose: I hate Tuesdays. For some reason, I always end up being crabby and tired on those days, which means that my husband is also crabby and tired... And it doesn't help that we both clock 14-hour days at work. If THAT won't make you mad, nothing will.

I'm so impressed with your workout routine! That takes dedication. I try to run every day, but I'm really bad at the crunches and weight lifting.

My husband and I went out to Holmberg Orchard on Sunday. Red Barons! Yum.

  3. Hi Rose! Just checking out your blog! I have enjoyed reading your posts. I too absolutely dread Tuesdays. I don't know if it is because I am an education major and still have nightmares from my Junior year (Tuesdays were the most hectic day of the week last semester) or what. Gives Manic Mondays a run for the money. :)

Your workout routine sounds intense and I must give you kudos for sticking with it! I wish you the best of luck in reaching your goal.

  4. Hi Rose,
As I was reading through project updates, your blog caught my attention because it was about workouts. I'm always looking for new and fun workouts to do. I cannot believe your workout schedule though! It is so intense. I wish I had the time to do something remotely close! Congrats on reaching your first goal and good luck on reaching your second! Look forward to hearing more about it as the class progresses :)
